Assignments
There will be 2 exams during the semester, one midterm and a final.
There will be approximately one homework per week and one short,
in-class quiz per week.
Grading
Grades are based upon homeworks (40%), quizzes(10%), and Exams (40%) +
10% of whichever is best.
Grades are NOT based upon a curve, in the sense that you are not
competing with your fellow students for a limited number of A's, and
B's. Instead, grades depend upon demonstrating understanding or
mastery of the course material.
Collaboration
Discussing problems and concepts with classmates is an important part
of learning, but all work that you turn in must be done by yourself.
