ATM networks are designed for integration of voice, video, and data on a single network. In this talk, we explain how these networks are different from the traditional computer networks and traditional phone networks. We then discuss the research that we have been doing in this area and how we have worked with ATM Forum - an industry consortium to help solve the problems of traffic management and performance testing of ATM networks. Finally, we give several examples of applications of ATM in different organization.
