Research Highlights

Webcam dataset

A few of the 20 million images in the Archive of Many Outdoor Scenes (AMOS).

I am a 3rd year Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis. My advisor Robert Pless and I are members of the Media and Machines Lab.

My research area is computer vision where I have broad interests. Most recently I am working on solving traditional computer vision problems, such as calibration and tracking, using video of a scene captured over weeks, months, and even years. One component of this work is in using natural scene variations to geo-calibrate widely distributed cameras. Another component is in learning scene models to facilitate tracking and anomaly detection.

News

I passed my oral exam. My presentation was about the imaging applications of compressive sampling.
2008-1-9
Attended WMVC/WACV/VISN/WVM at Copper Mountain, CO. I had a paper on geo-calibrating cameras and one on priors for object tracking.
