Extracurricular activities Having worked in various environments, as selective as publishing houses, and as embracing as travel agencies, with people from different cultural and social backgrounds, I adopt unique and insightful perspectives on human interactions. Moreover, I believe social activities are an essential part of a rich and useful professional life. In 2005, I founded and became editor-in-chief of a new graduate student magazine of the Vrije Universiteit – The Free Mind. Besides the regular responsibilities of an editor-in-chief, I also organize interdepartmental conferences for both students and experts. Through this difficult process, I have found my ability to inspire and motivate other people. My multi-cultural background and experiences are valuable assets for many professions in both research and industry organisations. You can read our published issues at www.thefreemind.nl. |
