There isn't currently a unique source that documents jRate, but there are several documents that provide insights in sevearal areas. The information currently available can be classified in:

::Installation::

Detailed jRate installation instruction are available in the INSTALL file.

::Design::

Currently there isn't a documents that describes organically jRate's desin and this page contains a collection of information that describe fragments of its design. Specifically, what is available right now is the following:

• Generative Memory Area Framework
• jRate's Extensions
• Policy Oriented Design Principles and Techniques

::Performance::

In order to evaluate the effect of changes in jRate implementation we keep running the RTJPerf benchmark. Some the results obtained running this benchmarking suite are available here.

::API::

The API documentation for the Java portion of jRate is available here. The API documentation for the jRate C++ Core will be coming soon.
