I am working for Dr. Bayazit since September 2004. My research is
focused on character animation, particularly on using motion capture
data for motion planning. I also work on simulating sensor networks
and using them for navigating robots.

My research area is motion planning and robotics. I am currently
working on the use of wireless sensor networks in motion planning
and using FPGA chips to speed up motion planning algorithms.

I work on reinforcement learning in continuous
spaces, with a focus on biologically-realistic learning mechanisms; in
particular, I am looking for ways to make problems more tractable by
"scaffolding" - scaling the problem such that initial success is both
easy and instructive towards the harder variant.

I enjoy working at the intersection of neural science and computer
science. Currently I am working on a brain computer interface (BCI)
system that strives to control a semi-autonomous robot with an
electrocorticograph (ECoG) acquired brain signal. My goal is to
achieve real-time clustering and control signal generation of the
brain signal.

My research objectives focus on broadening the
applicability of reinforcement learning strategies in terms of
scalability to real state spaces. My current work focuses on
improving value-function approximation in reinforcement learning by
explicitly modeling the topology of the agent's state
space. |

I'm interested in robotics, with an emphasis on human-robot
interaction and error detection and self-healing in autonomous
systems.

My research interests are in the areas of computer vision, data mining
and visualization. In particular, I am interested in scene modeling
for static cameras and embedding cyclic manifold.

I am especially interested in the field of Computer Graphics. Now I am
focusing on a project related to medical application, generating a 3D
model for bone to analyze the change of the density of bone marrow in
it.
